Most roller-mowers are re-worked versions of four-wheeled models – not so the Lawnflite LR48-SPBR. It’s a purpose-built roller-mower, and as such, is aimed squarely at formal-lawn enthusiasts looking to achieve an ultra-neat finish with sharply defined stripes. The Lawnflite LR48-SPBR has been fitted with a 161cc Briggs & Stratton engine, which employs the latest direct overhead-valve configuration for drastically reduced noise; fuel-consumption; and exhaust emissions. In addition, DOV engines have fewer moving parts then less advanced power-units, so wear is minimised and service-life is maximised. Superbly well constructed, the Lawnflite LR48-SPBR Self-propelled Rear-Roller Lawn Mower utilises only quality components and is built around a corrosion- and impact-resistant ABS polymer deck. This roller mower has a good-sized grass catcher and gives you the choice of six preset cutting-heights (15 – 65mm). The cutting-height is centrally controlled, so adjustments are quick and easy to make; and the grass-catcher (70l) is made from breathable fabric for efficient, blockage-free damp-weather collection. A power-driven lawn mower, the LR48-SPBR will be at home on lawns that contain banks; rough ground; and undulating sections. The gearbox is made from alloy for impressive durability; and the rear-roller is split for easier turning. For maximum user-comfort, it has been equipped with an ergonomic, height-adjustable handlebar that has vibration-absorbing rubberised grips. The handlebar can be folded-down to help save space in the storage area. This model’s 48cm width-of-cut makes it suitable for larger-scale domestic use.
