How to kill slugs – ebook
How to kill Slugs: From Beer traps to Nemotodes; methods to eliminate slugs and snails from your house and garden.

I’ve written this ebook to help all gardeners who have a slug problem. I suggest the best option for getting rid of slugs from the garden and go through the many other methods people have tried over the years. Dealing with slugs is a huge part of what a gardener needs to do – especially in spring when you’re sowing seeds and planting out seedlings.

What lurks under plant pots?

Friday, April 11th, 2014

You should lift up your plant pots and have a look at what lurks underneath.

What lives under your plant pots

What can you see here? slugs, worms, woodlouse, and a millipede of some sort. The slugs need killing so they don’t come out later and eat the plants.
It’s well worth a look under pots to see what bad pests are lurking.

10 x Gardening beer slug and snail traps child & pet safe non toxic

This is an easy to use slug beer trap device. The lid prevents rain diluting the beer and causing it to overflow. This means your beer will work for longer.
Neat little traps and a pack of 10 for not very much – so well worth getting for your garden. The colour will help them blend in to the background on your garden.
Highly recommended.
You can also place a stone on top to stop them being unbalanced in more exposed areas or to stop pets investigating. But the use of beer as a slug trap (or even wine!) will not harm your pets.

Slug gone wool pellets

Vitax 3.5L Slug Gone Natural Wool Barrier Pellets
Produced from wool and supplied in pellets, this is a natural, organic way to keep slugs and snails away from plants and is suitable for organic gardens. Simply lay the pellets on top of the compost in pots and planters, then water. The pellets will “self-felt” to form a continuous mat around the stems of plants. Minute fibres in the mat are an irritant to slugs and the mat absorbs moisture from the slug’s foot. As an organic material, Slug Gone contains naturally occurring slow release nutrients and will help feed plants as well as improving moisture retention.
