In early and mid spring the semi-double, soft pink flowers open from fat buds to reveal a prominent boss of yellow stamens. A prolific flowerer, it will provide a centrepiece for the spring garden, and looks beautiful when underplanted with an array of rich pink, plum or white coloured, early flowering tulips.Garden care: To prevent damage to the emerging buds and flowers, protect the shrub from cold, dry winds and early morning sun.
