Being produced from a high impact polystyrene which is totally recyclable and resilient means that these benches are heavy, reliable and will last for years. In fact, you will not believe these are not made from real wood. You do not have to treat these with oil, paint etc as you would do with wood, just find a suitable sunny spot for it in your garden and relax. It is also UV protected and can be wiped clean, leaving it looking as good as the day it arrived. Some easy assembly is required. Measurements: Two seater: Length: 121.6cm Width: 59cm Height: 93.5cm
Anemone x hybrida ‘Pretty Lady Susan’ (Japanese anemone) £6.99
Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: moist, fertile, humus-rich soil Rate of growth: fast-growing Flowering period: August to October Hardiness: fully hardy Vibrant pink flowers, each with a showy yellow eye, will add a shot of bright colour to the herbaceous border in late summer. Classic cottage garden favourites, Japanese anemones also work well in town gardens, where they help to extend the season of interest well into autumn. Garden care: Cut back the stalks after the flowers have faded, and tidy up old dead leaves in March. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted garden compost or manure around the base of the plant in spring. Avoid moving the plant since it resents disturbance. Where necessary lift and divide congested clumps in early spring.
Verbena hastata ‘Rosea’ (verbena) £5.99
Position: full sun Soil: moist, well-drained soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: June to September Flower colour: mid-pink Hardiness: fully hardy Long-flowering, upright perennials that produce slender, branching spires, which are crowded with buds that open slowly from the base, to small, clear pink flowers throughout summer. Their interesting form makes them ideal for creating ertical interest towards the back of the border. Garden care: Protect plants in winter with a dry winter mulch around the crown.
