Toast holder for feeding birds was £4.99 now £2.99
Bread does not contain all the necessary proteins and fats that birds need for a well balanced diet, but it does make a tasty treat when incorporated into a varied diet. This handy little feeder will hold one slice toast – brown is better than white and ideally toast should quickly be dipped in water. The frame is made from FSC certified timber and it is covered by a fine gauge mesh, which will not only prevent birds from taking over-large chunks, but it also means that the feeder can be half filled with peanuts. Dimensions: H 17cm x 17cm W

Crocus reduced the price on these items today

Alstroemeria ‘Sedna’ (alstroemeria) was £24.99 now £5.99
Position: full sun or partial shade Soil: fertile, moist, well-drained soil Rate of growth: slow growing to average Flowering period: June and July Other features: excellent cut flowers Hardiness: fully hardy Garden care: Alstroemerias will need some protection in their first year or two, so only plant out when all danger of frost has passed. Set the bare roots out carefully onto well-prepared soil, or if planting into pots, use a good, multi-purpose compost. The plant will grow from the rhizome, not the fleshy storage bulb, so it is important that any bud on the rhizome is pointing upwards before being covered with 7 – 8cm (3″) soil. Ideally they should be placed at 30 – 45cm intervals. Keep the soil moist whilst the plant starts to grow and develop, which should be in spring. Newly planted Alstroemerias should be given a very generous 20cm (8″) deep mulch of chipped bark in their first winter to help the plants become established. In subsequent autumns, provide a dry mulch of bracken or bark chippings will help protect the crowns. After flowering cut back the faded flower-stems, but make sure you always wear gloves when working with Peruvian lilies, as contact with the foliage may cause skin irritation.

Buxus & poppy seed hanging wreath £79.99
Handmade by the team here at Crocus Dried Poppy Seed Heads make striking natural baubles, especially en-masse and in a structure like this. Held in tiered rings of Buxus (Box) foliage they bear more than a passing resemblance to a Christmas tree. Held in place by two different thicknesses of red ribbon, with a third olive green ribbon to attach the poppy seed heads, this is a vibrant piece, for suspending above a table, or hallway, in a stairwell, or in a window. As with any fresh foliage, the Buxus will look better if kept cool and misted with water occasionally – however if it’s stored carefully it dries to a beautiful parchment colour, and could be hung again for years to come. Please note: colour may vary slightly depending on the availability of plants Diameter of rings: Bottom 30.5cm Middle 20cm Top 12.75cm Approx height 80cm Simply select your preferred delivery date from the above options. If you order other items and wish to receive these before the date selected for your wreath you will need to select split delivery in the shopping wheelbarrow.
