Allotment Autumn Sunshine

After a few days of rain it turned out nice again and we went to the plot to get some weeding done, and pick some more vegetables. The chickweed has taken on a life of it’s own, but it’s all good in the compost bin. Last few raspberries were picked and eaten… not quite as nice as those in the middle of summer but still lovely to be eating.
Loads of runner beans to be picked so made the most of that and will have to freeze a few more portions.
Someone else on the plot was trimming their strawberries – ours have got fruit and flowers on! Whether they riped properly or not is another thing! October sunshine – very lovel and warm and well worth getting outside in!
