More tidying up to do – with more leaves coming off the trees now following that patch of windy and utterly wet weather. Rake up the leaves and put them in black bin bags if you don’t have a separate wire bin for them. Leave them to break down for a couple of years and you’ll get the most amazing leaf mould!
If you’ve had torrential rain this week then your garden is probably look a little worse for wear and problem has problem areas showing themself. Don’t walk on the grass when it’s this wet. It’ll just turn it to mud. Make a note in your gardening diary to attend to the problems areas when it’s dryer!
Now is mostly a time to prepare the garden for the winter and for next year. The weather and dark nights drawing in make for a difficult time to squeeze in more than an hour if you’re lucky!
