Salsify Mammoth Seeds £1.49
Often called the ‘vegetable oyster’ because of its flavour. The slender white roots are like skinny parsnips and they can be left in the ground over winter and lifted as required. Any roots left in the ground in spring will produce tender shoots which can be cooked as served like asparagus.
