Autumn Potato Growing Kit 3 planters and 15 seed potatoes
Autumn Potato Growing Kit 3 planters and 15 seed potatoes £14.95
A complete Patio Potato Growing Kit – three planters and 15 seed potatoes for only £14.95.Potato planters are the easy way to grow your own potatoes. Now you can grow your own crop of spuds in the Autumn on your patio – each planter can grow up to 9 lbs of delicious new potatoes (that’s up to 27 lbs from these 3 planters!).The planters are made from tough polyethylene material with well positioned drainage holes and can be used over and over again. Plus the carry handles enable you to move them round the garden. With 3 very special varieties of seed potatoes (5 tubers of each, 15 seed potatoes in total): Carlingford – The most popular and widely grown ‘second cropper’ and it’s easy to see why! Carlingford performs reliably from late plantings giving good yields of round, smooth-skinned creamy-white fleshed tubers. These boil beautifully bringing that true ‘new potato’ taste to your meals at the end of the year; Bambino – In field trials Bambino was one of the highest yielding varieties and showed good all round disease resistance which will suit those who prefer to avoid using garden chemicals. The tubers are round, medium-sized, with creamy-white, very tasty flesh; Maris Peer – A reliable and well known favourite yielding mellow tasting round white tubers. Eat them warm or save and use in salads as they will not discolour after cooking. Resistant to scab which can be a problem in dry, late summer soils. Plant in late July or early August and enjoy new potatoes from October onwards. Bring inside if frost is forecast.2-3 weeks after the plants have flowered, either harvest your potatoes of keep them in the planters for delicious new potatoes at Christmas! 14 Days
