Primrose Petticoat Mixed 42 plug plants £7.99
Primroses are essential ingredients of spring displays, with a superb ability to bloom through frost and snow, adding cheer to your garden or patio. These ones are particularly special, with tightly double blooms – like dainty roses, and in a rainbow of colours. Use these hardy Primroses in bedding, borders, pots and windowboxes.
Leonotis nepetifolia var nepetifolia Staircase 1 packet £2.99
A handsome, decorative plant with tall stems containing “steps” or whorls of bright orange flowers. Ideal for the back of borders, or as a talking point planted in large containers on the patio or conservatory.
Mangetout Pea : Golden Sweet 1 packet £2.69
A tall growing variety with red leaf nodes and lovely mauve flowers followed by deliciously sweet pale golden-yellow, crisp pods. Best picked regularly before the peas swell in the pods, ideal steamed whole or added to stir fries. Mangetout Golden Sweet grows to 210cm (7ft) so needs support.
Tomato : Black Russian (Heritage) 1 packet £1.99
Cordon (Indeterminate). These medium sized black tomatoes grow on compact plants bearing plenty of dark mahogany-brown fruits, with a delicious blend of sugar and acid. Tomato Black Russian has a distinctive, complex flavour that has to be tasted to be believed. (Lycopersicon esculentum). Heritage tomatoes: Thompson and Morgan over the past 100 years have found several tomatoes from their own trials and through travelling around the world seeing and tasting varieties both old and new. We have put together a range of good old fashioned tomatoes from those forgotten years that we consider have stood the test of time. All are unusual in colour and shape having a wonderful flavour of how tomatoes used to be, making a welcome addition to any kitchen garden.
Tobacco Plant : Marshmallow 1 packet £0.99
Reintroduced following increasing interest by garden designers and visitors to our Open Days. Nicotiana Marshmallow is a very unusual and visually stunning variety which will add stature and fragrance to your summer borders. The masses of wiry stems are covered with a ‘haze’ of small blooms, each one fading through red, pink and white to give the effect of three flower colours on each plant.
