Smooth roots with beautiful white flesh which does not discolour. Also known as Turnip Rooted Celery, it will add a delicious tangy taste to soups and stews. Maturing time approximately 30 weeks from sowing. Sow seed in March, treating the same as celery. Plant out in May, 30cm (12″) apart, in rows 45cm (1½’) apart. It is not necessary to plant in trenches. Harvest October-December. Keep well watered throughout growing period. HEALTH BENEFITS: An excellent fat free source of dietary fibre. COOKING HINT: Wash and remove outer skin. Delcious as a salad when grated with a Dijon mustard mayonnaise, to make a kind of coleslaw, or tasty as a roast or boiled vegetable and in soups and stews. Tastes like a celery/parsley blend.

This vigorous, trailing British-bred tomato is ideal for hanging baskets and containers on the patio, producing up to 4kg (9 lb) of delicious fruit in a single season! Grow one plant per 35cm (14″) hanging basket. Prefect for growing outdoors. OUTDOOR CULTURE: Sow in trays or pots indoors March-April and harden off the plants before planting 45cm (18″) apart in early June. Choose a warm, sheltered position. Harvest mid August-mid October. Standard varieties: Support with stakes or canes. Pinch out the main growth when four good trusses have set. Bush varieties: These cease growing when 30-38cm (12-15″) high. Sow seed in late July in the North and the Midlands and early August in the South, in 1.8cm (¾”) deep drills (shallow grooves) 15cm (6″) apart on prepared seed beds outdoors. Set the resultant plants in rows 38cm (15″) apart, with 30cm (12″) between plants, during September and October.
