It’s an eco-friendly way of keeping weeds down too and even if weeds do grow they should be easier to pull up. It’s good for soils that dry out and for borders planted with winter bedding. It’ll give your garden a really professional finish.
Bark can also be used in children’s play areas to cover the ground to make a softer landing for them, and for covering up worn areas under swings or slides. It’s probably best to make a wooden frame around the area and keep the bark in this.
