Harrod Horticultural has these new products today
Pea Ambassador Seeds – £2.10
These 100 Ambassador pea seeds will bring you in line with the majority of the commercial UK pea growers as they also insist on this Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit-winning variety to produce their livelihood. Ambassador is a second early-maincrop variety which is usually sown betwen March and July and harvested roughly 10 weeks later and it’s popularity is boosted by the resistance it brings to both powdery mildew and fusarium wilt. These organic pea seeds – Soil Association certified – produce plants which are also semi-leafless for easy picking of the blunt pods full of dark green peas which these robust Ambassdor pea plants just keep pushing out!
Leek F1 Kenton Seeds – £1.75
The 25 Leek F1 Kenton seeds contained in each packet will grow up to produce an excellent winter hybrid variety with attractive deep blue-green colour to the leaves. These organic leek seeds – certified by the Soil Association – can be sown indoors (try our for the ultimate in biodegradable transplanting) between February and March and directly outside from April to May giving you a nice long March to November winter harvest period. Leave the Kenton F1 leeks – which have an erect habit and medium length shafts – to stand in the soil until they are required.
