MowDirect has a selection of hedge trimmers that are cordless. These are easier to handle with no fear of cutting through any electric cables.
Get the right pair for your garden! Look at weight – the lighter the better in my opinion, versus battery charge time! If you have a lot of hedges you might have to recharge them between cuts, but for smaller hedges or for topiary trimming you’ll find them perfect!
Hints for making it easier – some people like to mow the lawn first to make it easier to rake up the cuttings. Some people like to mow after so they can mow over any dropped bits they’ve not picked up! Don’t mow over thick stems!
You can use a tarpaulin on the ground to collect the hedge cuttings and move it along as you go. This can make it easy to clear up!
