Don’t strim the nettles!

We’ve got caterpillars on the nettles in a corner of our allotment. They’re along the edges of a corner no one uses at the moment – it’s a new plot and eventually we’ll have fruit trees round this area but we’ll have to still keep some netttles are they’re essential for some butterflies! The caterpillars only feed on nettles – so they won’t jump on to the cabbages and eat them.
There are several stages of caterpillars on them as more eggs have been laid!
I love seeing butterflies and am pleased this corner is being so useful to them!
