Attract insects into your garden

Jersey Plants Direct has some fantastic plants that you’ll love having in your garden. not only do they provide you with flowers and colour, but you’ll also find you’re attracking butterflies, bees and moths into your garden too. This in turn increases the number of other wildlife in your garden. Bats will feed on moths and swoop close to your house at night to catch them as they are attacted by the lights.
Here’s a strange thought for you: During the second world war everyone used blackout curtains to ensure the lights weren’t showing. Did bats still hunt moths around houses then? Where would the moths hang out if there were no human lights showing at night?
Don’t forget you can put up bat boxes on your house. If you find bats in the attic though you’re not allowed to disturb them. You need a licence to handle bats.
