Strimming and brushcutting is hard work! And you should take care to protect your legs and eyes as well as your hearing.
Strimming grass is the only thing to do on uneven surfaces. If the weeds are thick or woody then you need to use a brush cutter attachment. This will ensure you quickly slice through the weeds. On very long overgrown lawns strimming is essential as lawnmowers are not designed to cope with especially long grass. If you are returning a neglected lawn to good shape then remove all grass clippings from the strimming. Only leave grass clippings in small amounts.

Brushcutting is noisy work. Ear defenders protect your hearing and the visor means your face is protected from stones kicked up during brushcutting or strimming.
The dungerees protect your clothes from the grass and stop stones damaging your legs! Protect yourself and you’ll enjoy gardening more!
