Collection comprises 1 bulb each of the following autumn planting varieities:
Garlic ‘Albigensian Wight’ – A hardneck variety with excellent keeping
qualities storing well into the New Year.
Garlic ‘Chesnok Red’ – Hardneck variety from Shvelisi in Georgia with
attractive purple striping and a lovely, full-bodied flavour.
Garlic ‘Early Purple Wight’ – The earliest hardneck variety currently
available from autumn planting.
Garlic ‘Edenrose’ – This hardneck variety produces attractive pink cloves, the
colour showing when the outer white skins are peeled back. Delicate flavour, renowned
throughout France.
Garlic ‘Germidour’ – This softneck variety produces large, white bulbs
with a mild but still rich flavour.
Garlic ‘Iberian Wight’ – Large flat, white-skinned softneck bulbs
which grow almost on the soil surface.
Garlic ‘Lautrec Wight’ – France’s finest hardneck garlic producing
very pretty bulbs with white outer skins and deep pink cloves.
Garlic ‘Messidrome’ – A softneck variety producing large white bulbs
with excellent flavour for all culinary uses.
Garlic ‘Wight Cristo’ – A softneck variety producing pure white bulbs
with an elegant bouquet.
Garlic ‘Solent Wight’ – A reliable softneck variety which is one of
the best for its overall eating and keeping qualities.
Garlic ‘Carcassonne Wight’ – Produces pink cloves, similar to Lautrec,
but are possibly of a superior bouquet and character.
Garlic ‘Bella Italiano’ – Good-looking Italian hardneck garlic variety
which deliver a hard-hitting and deliciously aromatic flavour.
