Quince Tree – Vranja £21.99
The large, sweet, pear-shaped fruits of Vranja ripen in mid-autumn and make excellent jellies and preserves. Alternatively, you’ll find a few slices in an apple pie will improve it immeasurably! The plants themselves are highly decorative trained into a fan against a wall, the blossom is very attractive, and they make ideal pollinators for pears. Self-fertile. Supplied as a bare root tree.

Medlar Tree – Westeveldt £19.99
An extremely attractive and quite fascinating tree (a relative of the quince family and a good pollinator for pears), with large, glossy leaves, beautiful white blossom in springtime and pretty bronze foliage in autumn. The curious flattish fruit are ready to pick in October and should then be stored for a few weeks (known as bletting) to fully develop their truffle-like flavour. A fine accompaniment to wine and cheese!

Goji Berry Plant £19.99
Originally from China, these attractive little berries are about 2cm (3/4) in diameter and have a mild, sweet liquorice flavour. High in antioxidants, they are reputed to have many health benefits. Plants are hardy and easy to grow in a sunny poistion. Height 1.8m (6′). Supplied in a 5 litre pot. (Please note that the plants we supply are produced within the EU).
