My rhubarb

This is a photo of the rhubarb on my plot.
It is well in advance of everyone elses.
It’s had the top half of an old plastic bin around it. The plant could still get light from the sun but its been sheltered from the wind and weather. This has really bought it on. It isn’t as bad for the plant as forcing and doesn’t give quite the same sweetness that proper forcing will do, but it gives me a wonderfully early crop of rhubarb!
