Primadonnas are the one of the speciality Begonias bred by Belgian guru Arnold van Peteghem. Over many years he has made selections from his many crosses, and the result are these huge flowering frilly flowered types he has called Primadonna. The sumptuous Scarlet Red is one of our favourite colours, the deep tones really standing out against the green foliage. They look amazing en masse in borders, or in big pots. Huge number of petals pack the centre of these flowers that can easily reach 15cm across. Very rain tolerant, they also love hot sun too. Corms can be lifted each Winter, stored dry, and planted again the following season. The Giant Belgian Begonias are a real addition to any garden.
