As well as safety, other benefits of polycarbonate are superior insulation and heat retention, and it also diffuses direct sunlight – reducing the risk of plant scorch. Greenhouse Bases: It is important to put your greenhouse on firm foundations. A galvanised, prefabricated steel base is available as an option on every model, and is recommended, as it not only makes construction easier, but also gives an extra 12.5cm (5) of headroom. The base can be either secured to a flat hardstanding surface, or on soil using the anchorage pegs provided. Delivery & Assembly: All greenhouses are delivered in one drop complete with glazing.
