Iris Reticulata (50 bulbs) £6.9500
This dark blue iris flowers in February/March, iris reticulata grow to around 15cm tall.
Iris like full sun or partial shade and an open soil with plenty of humus and good drainage.
They naturalise well in rockeries edges of borders and containers.
Remove faded flowers and aplly fertiliser four/five weeks after flowering. When clumps become too crowded lift divide and replant about 2 weeks after flowering.
Why not plant a winter corner near the house along with anemone de caen and galanthus nivalis (snowdrops).
Tulip White Dream (10 bulbs) £2.9500
White dream is a pure white tulip. These bulbs flower in April/May and grow to around 50cm
Tulips will grow in a wide range of soils provided there is good drainage. They like sunshine but the flowers will last longer in partial shade.
Ideal for beds and borders, remove flower heads as they begin to fade. Avoid planting tulips repeatedly in exactly the same spot that they have been grown in in recent years.
Tulips are best lifted when the leaves fade. Clean and store until the Autumn, when they can be replanted. Do not keep the small off-shoots as they will not flower.
Display in groups, great for underplanting roses or growing through muscari.
