Hedgerow wreath £37.99
Handmade by the team here at Crocus Supple birch twigs are twisted together to form the base of this wreath, and teased out of the circle to form a natural, wilder impression. At the ends of the Birch are the early forming juvenile catkins, decorating the tips of the twigs. Dressed with feathers and foliage on the lower arc, this makes a substantial, dramatic wreath for a front door, where it will enjoy the cool, and any wet. If you want to hang this wreath inside, keep it as cool as possible and mist the foliage with water daily. Approx diameter: 15″ Simply select your preferred delivery date from the above options. If you order other items and wish to receive these before the date selected for your wreath you will need to select split delivery in the shopping wheelbarrow.

Position: partial shade Soil: prefers moist, alkaline soil Rate of growth: average Flowering period: July to September Hardiness: fully hardy Long-lasting, pure white flowerheads appear from July to September above attractive bronzy-chocolate foliage. This lovely clump-forming perennial is easy to grow and manage and the flowers are attractive to bees and butterfli es. A versatile plant for a mixed border, where it looks great with ornamental grasses and will extend the season of interest. Garden care: Cut back and compost the stems after flowering.

Position: full sun Soil: fertile, well-drained soi l Rate of growth: fast-growing Flowering period: J une to October Hardiness: borderline hardinessA useful , long-flowering, semi-evergreen shrub for a mixed border. This abelia has attra ctive, glossy, deep green leaves which it hangs on to for most of the year. From June, it produces masses of small, fragrant, pink-flushed, trumpet-like flowers on arching branches that go on all summer. As it’s slightly tender, it’s best g rown in the shelter of a wall, towards the back of a border. Ideal for a cottage -style garden. Garden care: Deadhead regularly to prolong flowe ring. In autumn after flowering lightly trim back the flowered shoots to retain a neat and tidy shape. Remove any dead or damaged wood in April.
