Mouth-watering asparagus tips are still considered something of a luxury vegetable, and the supermarkets certainly price them as such! So why not grow your own! We offer healthy plants in 3 litre pots, which are quick to establish, enabling you to have your first delicious harvest next spring, followed by annual spring pickings for many years to come. Collection contains 3 plants (1 of each variety):Darlise – A top quality hybrid which produces high yields of straight, top quality spears of exquisite flavour. Spears are green with purple tips, and are ready to pick slightly later than Gijnlim.Stewarts Purple – Purple asparagus is thought by many people to be considerably sweeter than the sweetest green types. An attractive addition to salads, spears retain their colour when steamed. The first spears will appear in late April.Gijnlim – A consistent top performer in recent trials, out-yielding others by up to 25%. It’s early too, giving the first succulent tasty spears in mid to late April and continuing to crop heavily until mid June. It is an ‘all male’ hybrid, forming no seeds which means all its energies go into spear production.

Calycanthus floridus ‘Aphrodite’ is a super fragrant cultivar of Calycanthus. It has magnolia-like large, bright red flowers that re-bloom starting early in the summer. Introduced by Proven Winners, this great shrubs foliage is deer resistant too. Height 100-150cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.

Chaenomeles superba ‘Cameo’ (flowering quince) is a slow growing, beautiful, dense spreading quince. The flowers appear in spring are semi-double, apricot coloured and large. The fruit that follows this beautiful display of flowers are aromatic and edible and can be used in quince jelly. Height 90-100cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.

Considered rare or scarce in England, Betula nana or commonly known as Mountain Birch, is normally found in Scottish Highlands and northern England between 250-650m above sea level. Clematis ‘Hybrida Sieboldii’ has large, lavender-blue flowers with a darker bar and red or brown anthers. They belong to the pruning group 2 and late large-flowered group and flowers through June to September. Height 250-300cm. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
Cercidiphyllum japonicum Plant £14.99
Cercidiphyllum japonicum is a large deciduous tree grown for its attractive heart-shaped foliage, which changes colour as the seasons progress. Young leaves are bronze when they appear, turning bright green in summer, and then changing again in autumn to stunning shades of pink, orange and yellow. The best colours are produced when the tree is grown on moist, slightly acidic soils. An added bonus is the burnt-sugar scent of the fallen leaves. Flowers May-June. Height 301cm+. Supplied in a 3 litre pot.
