Prunus Laurocerasus Rotundifolia Plants 10 x 10 Litre Pots £3640.37
The most common hedging plant of the Laurels is Cherry Laurel and it’s not the country’s biggest selling hedge plant species without good reason! Cherry Laurel is a fast growing hedge (without being a bully), with large, glossy bright green leaves, is fully evergreen, very easy to grow and easy to maintain. Laurel is suitable for hedging from 1.5m up to 5m so we have it at all heights from 30cm up to over 2m. It’s one of the few evergreen species that can handle being grown as a bare root plant so that’s a very economic way to establish a new hedge. Flowers mid May-October producing white flowers. Grows 30-60cm per year. Supplied in 10 litre pots.
Craetagus monogyna Plants – 10 x 2 Litre Pots £67.37
There are thousands of miles of Hawthorn hedging in Britain and for many good reasons – it is native, prickly, with pretty, profuse white flowers in May (hence its alternative name May Blossom) and loads of red hips, which are ideal bird food, in autumn. Hawthorn is commonly used in farm fields, it’s also increasingly popular in a domestic setting as a single species hedge or as the majority species within a native mixed hedge and it has many wildlife qualities. White flowers produced. Flowers early March-late May & mid September-mid November. Growing 40-60cm or 60-90cm per year. Supplied in 2 litre pots.
