Hibiscus Collection – 3 bare root hibiscus plants – 1 of each variety £19.99
These hardy, deciduous shrubs bear exotic flowers, which smother the dark foliage in late summer and autumn, when the blooms of many other plants have faded. Hibiscus syriacus thrives on most soils but in particularl it is useful for tricky alkaline situations. Little maintenance is required, but Rose Mallow enjoys a long, hot summer to produce the most stunning flowers. Height: 3m (10’). Spread: 2m (6′,5"). The neat grey green leaves and small pale blue flowers make this an attractive addition to borders too. At its most effective when grown in full sun, the scardy cat plant (as it is also known) is undemanding and surprisingly drought tolerant. Height: 45cm (18"). Supplied as 40mm plug plants.
