Reasonable humidity is required to prevent blemishes, misting is a good way to achieve this as well as helping to keep the leaves dust free. Regular feeding during spring and summer is recommended. You don’t need to feed in Winter or feed newly re-potted plants. Water well and then wait for the top inch of the soil to dry out before watering again. For best performance position in light shade or gentle filtered sunlight.Dracaena marginata (Madagascar Dragon Tree)Quite slow growing, the green leaves have a narrow red purple edge. Light shade is best, keep the soil moist at all times (but never soggy). Reasonable humidity is required with regular feeding in spring and summer.Chamaedorea palm (Parlour Palm)Beautiful, attractive and delicate light green fronds, it is a slow grower. Low light will be tolerated, but the perfect spot would be bright position with a little sun during part of the day. Water well then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again along with a general feed once every couple of months.Ficus elastic (Rubber Plant)A popular ornamental plant with shiny leather type leaves. A tough plant perfect for a well lit spot with some indirect sun. Water well then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again. Use a weak feed every couple of watering’s during spring and summer.Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane)Beautiful foliage displays on this quite versatile house plant. Position in indirect bright light, water well then wait until the surface of the soil has dried out, at which point water well again. Feed in the growing season at half strength every month or so.Codiaeum (Croton)The waxy leaves are spectacular and unique. Provide good bright light but avoid really hot direct sunlight. Soil needs to be evenly moist for the majority of the time during growing (warmer) months, feed once a month or so at normal strength.
