Convallaria Majalis is more commonly referred to as Lily of the Valley. These fragrant, white bell flowers appear in May and June time growing to a short height of 15cm. Lily of the valley are perfect for a woodland planting scheme. Lily of the Valley like humus rich, moist soil in partial shade. They are an ideal plant for naturalising in borders, wild gardens and between shrubs and trees. The bulbs are hardy and need no special attention. Should they become overcrowded, lift, divide and replant. Lily of the Valley will spread rapidly once established. Best suited for under-planting of shrubs rather than in a prime position in a border.

Liatris Spicata also known as ‘Blazing Star’ produces long purple flower heads in June and July. Growing to a height of around 60cm; Liatris make a welcome addition to herbaceous borders and flower beds. Liatris like well drained soil and sunshine. They are good plants for beds, borders and as cut flowers. Water freely in dry weather. Liatris do not require lifting for winter. Divide them and replant every 3 – 4 years. Liatris are very attractive to both bees and butterflies.

Blue Danube potatoes have a blue skin and a bright white flesh. This variety is very blight resistant and has superb tuber-blight resistance. "The best roast potato ever"! Get started with our bite size taster pack. Planting can take place as soon as the risk of frost has passed in your area, during spring, March – April. Plant 10-13cm (4-5inches) deep in shallow ridges. Seed should be 20-23cm (8-9inches) apart in the row, with 60cm (24inches) between each row. Earth the plants up when they are 20cm (8inches) tall. This encourages a higher yield of potatoes. Watering your plants well will improve crop yield and discourage scab from forming. Our whole range of seed potatoes are Certified Scottish seed potatoes.

Lily Friso is a very tall flowering lily with beautiful white blooms and a rosy red centre. It can grow up to 120cm within its first year and will produce flowers from June to July. This lily is great for beds and borders.  Lilies like well-drained, moisture retentive soil with plenty of organic material. they like sun or partial shade and protection from strong winds. Good for flower beds, borders, wild gardens and containers on the patio or balcony. When planting lilies in containers, plant deeply and keep well watered. A thick mulch is recommended to retain moisture. Remove faded flowers but do not cut back the stems before autumn. These bulbs do not require lifting in the autumn.
