Squash Seeds – Sunburst F1 £1.79

A compact squash producing a heavy crop of small yellow-skinned fruits with a distinctive ‘nutty’ taste. Cut the fruit at 3.5cm (1) diameter. Eat raw or lightly steamed. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner.Mini Veg variety – With our mini-vegetables even the smallest plot can yield a wealth of succulent, tasty produce. By sowing closely together in blocks or broad drills and cropping while young, you can fit far more into a small area.

Squash Seeds – Hunter F1 £2.49

A high yielding butternut squash, giving you a good supply of delicious squashes throughout late summer and autumn, each one a lovely buff colour, with attractive, fine-flavoured orange flesh. Summer/storage variety.

Squash Seeds – Honey Boat £3.00

Rob says: I first found this squash in the United states, California to be exact, and as far as I know, no-one else in the UK is selling this great old variety. This squash is easier to grow, and sweeter than a butternut squash. Its more productive too. First introduced in 1894, Honey Boat can be left to crawl over the floor or trained up a frame, or wires. The fruits are super sweet with firm, deep orange flesh, the ideal size to serve 2 people. So, no half-eaten squash lurking in the fridge! Its also got its own built-in best before date, as the green stripes will disappear as the squash ages, so youll always know which to eat first. This variety will keep you in roast squash, soup and any number of dishes all winter long, its a real keeper!

Squash Seeds – Crown Prince F1 £2.49

Steel blue skin and bright orange flesh with a sweet nutty flavour, and averaging 3-4kg (6-9lb) in weight. The storage potential is excellent; it can be over 3 months if kept in a frost-free area with good ventilation. Trailing growth habit. Harvest September-October.

Squash Seeds – Butterbush F1 £3.19

The Cobnut type squash is now one of our top selling vegetables, courtesy of exposure in the supermarkets and TV Chef recipes. Up until now though trailing plant habits have required considerable room in the garden. Enter a British plant breeder to come up with Butterbush with its compact, bushy habit, bred specifically to grow in large containers on the patio or small garden spaces.

Squash Seeds – Autumn Crown F1 £2.49

If you know your squashes, this is best described as a Crown Prince x Butternut cross, or a kind of flattened round Butternut type. Whats more important, its got delicious, crisp, orange flesh, great for instant use, but also stores well. Couple this with a semi-bush compact habit ideal for modern gardens and you have something worth a try!

Squash Plants – Tromboncino £6.99

Origin: Italy. Wacky Italian cultivar with lovely, mild artichoke flavour & a long neck thats 100% free of seeds. Actually a variety of butternut squash, picked while still tender and green. As well as looking incredibly ornamental in the garden, its big benefit in the kitchen is that it tastes sweeter than most regular courgettes. Harvest July-September.

Squash Plants – Patty Pan Collection £5.99

Origin: Central America. Tender, nutty-flavoured summer squash in three easy to grow prolific-cropping varieties. Most tender when picked 6-8cm across. Comprises: Twinkle, Kermit and Polo.

Squash Plants – Kabocha £6.99

Origin: Japan. You won’t be able to resist a Kabocha squash (Japanese winter pumpkin), not only because of their cute size (immediately you’ll want to make little soup bowls out of their rinds), but also because they are tasty and good for you, rich in beta carotene, with a decent amount of vitamin C and iron to boot. The flesh near the rind is avocado green, giving way to a bright yellow-orange. You could roast them before you scoop out the flesh for a soup or they are delicious stuffed – a multi purpose sweet and savoury squash, and our favourite this year! A similar texture and flavour to a pumpkin and sweet potato combined!

Squash Plants – Honey Boat £6.99

Easier to grow, more productive and sweeter than a butternut squash, Honey Boat produces super sweet fruit with firm, deep orange flesh, and each one makes the perfect size serving for two people. It keeps well throughout winter, and will prove itself invaluable in roasts, soups and a whole host of other dishes. Well worth a try!

Squash Patty Pan Plants – Collection £7.99

Origin: Central America. Tender, nutty-flavoured summer squash in three easy to grow prolific-cropping varieties. Most tender when picked 6-8cm across. Comprises: Twinkle, Kermit and Polo.

Squash Grafted Plants – F1 Hunter £4.99

An early ripening grafted butternut squash, which will mature even earlier because it’s been grafted. Plants are very high yielding, giving you a good supply throughout late summer and autumn, each one a lovely buff colour, with attractive, fine-flavoured orange flesh. Plus they’re one of the most versatile of all vegetables, and can be used in any way that a potato can, and stored in a frost-free place throughout winter. Please note: There is a possibility that your plant will include a grafting clip, if it does, this is an integral part of the grafting process and that it should be left in place. As the plant grows it will naturally shrug off the clip. Supplied in a 10cm pot. What’s so good about grafted veg plants? We are revolutionising the home grown vegetable market with our range of grafted vegetable plants! Commercially the grafting method has been used for some time, but we’ve developed them for the home gardener, and early adopters have had extraordinary results: Big increases in yield from larger, more vigorous plants Earlier cropping, yet with sufficient vigour to crop well later in the season Grow in the greenhouse or outdoors – little or no heating required Excellent resistance to soil-borne pest and diseases – no more ring culture or grow bags – plant straight in the soil Greater tolerance to nutritional disorders
